Shunya Vayu Mudra (Vata Nashak Mudra)

- This mudra is also known as Vata Nashak Mudra.
- It is a combination of Shunya and Vayu mudras.
- Space Element is reduced by Shunya mudra and Vayu is reduced by Vayu mudra
- The Vata Nashak mudra brings about a reduction of the Vata dosha in the body.
- Thus it pacifies the aggravated Vata dosha.
- People with an aggravated Vata or those having a Vata constitution should regularly perform this mudra to avoid illness.
- However, people who already have a deficiency of Vata (e.g. people suffering from Paralysis) should practice this mudra in moderation, if at all.
Vata Nashak mudra can be used to overcome the following disorders:
- Chronic fatigue
- Lack of Stamina and Endurance
- Indecisiveness,
- Impatience,
- Timidity
- Inexplicable Fear
- Poor memory
- Forgetfulness
- Sleeplessness
- Intolerance of cold weather and of wind.
- Underweight, emaciation, inexplicable weight loss.
- All painful conditions like headache, earache, toothache, throat pain, chest / abdominal pain, backache, heel pain, joint pain, etc. Perform the Shunya Vayu mudra followed by the Pran Mudra.

- Tremors, Shivering
- Unsteady Gait (Walk)
- Parkinsons
- Giddiness
- Vertigo
- Creaking Joints
- Osteo-Arthritis
- Cold, Dry, Cracked Skin, Nail, Hair, etc.
- Irregular, Scanty, Painful periods
- Hoarseness of Voice
- Stammering
- Constipation
- Flatulence
- Scanty Urination
- Scanty sweating
- Disorders caused by an excess of air element in the body
- Shunya Vayu mudra prevents illnesses if performed for 15 minutes daily.
Precautions:
- Persons with deficiency of Vata should perform the mudra in moderation.
