Adho Merudanda Mudra (Mudra for the Lower / Lumbar Spine)

How to perform :

  1. Curl all fingers into the palm to make a light fist.
  2. Extend the thumbs out.
  3. Place the palms on the thighs or knees, facing downwards, with thumbs pointing towards each other.
  4. Keep your spine and head straight, shoulders relaxed.
  5. Perform the mudra with both hands.

  • Cures Lower Back Pain.
  • Energy comes into the base and lowers third of the spinal column, nervous system, and the mooladhaar chakra.
  • Perform this mudra for 5-10 minutes twice a day along with the Merudanda mudra for curing lower back pain. 
  • This mudra should be done with deep long breaths.
