Pitta Karak - Kapha Nashak Mudra

How to perform :
- Place the Ring finger and the Small finger on the base of the Thumb and press them with the Thumb.
- The other fingers are kept straight and relaxed.
- Place the palms, face-up, on your knees or thighs.
- Keep your spine and head straight, shoulders relaxed.
- Perform the mudra with both hands.
Benefits of Pitta Karak Kapha Nashak mudra :
- This mudra increases the Pitta dosha in the body.
- It also reduces the Kapha dosha at the same time. Thus it is called the Kapha nashak mudra.
- Water Element in the body is decreased and Heat is increased.
- Pitta is concerned with bodily heat (digestion/metabolism) and the circulatory system. These are stimulated and reinforced by this mudra.
- An excellent mudra for persons with aggravated Kapha dosha or a deficient Pitta dosha. They can regularly perform this mudra for preventing illness.
- It is helpful during running nose and watering eyes.
- Throat pain can be cured very quickly with this mudra.
- Problems of phlegm in the lungs and throat
- Helps in curing Kidney related disorders.
- This mudra can also be used for the following disorders :
- Lack of enthusiasm and initiative.
- Slow in perception and activities.
- Low self-esteem.
- All problems get worse in winters (intolerance to cold).
- Coldness of skin, hands, feet.
- Oily, greasy skin or hair.
- Absent or scanty perspiration.
- Loss of appetite.
- Indigestion or slow digestion.
- Thirst-lessness.
- Obesity, tendency to gain weight easily.
- Underactive Thyroid (Hypothyroid)
- Scanty periods
- Excessive mucus in the respiratory tract or digestive tract causing colds, wet cough, sticky stools, etc.
- Eye ailments like watery eyes, stickiness, etc.
Precautions :
- Perform sparingly or not at all if having an aggravated "Pitta" dosha.
- Stop performing the mudra once the ailment is cured.
