Pran Mudra (Kapha Karak - Pitta Naashak Mudra)

How to perform :

  1. Join the tips of the Ring and Small fingers to the tip of the Thumb.
  2. The other fingers are kept straight and relaxed.
  3. Place the palms, face-up, on your knees or thighs.
  4. Keep your spine and head straight, shoulders relaxed.
  5. Perform the mudra with both hands.

Benefits of Pran Mudra :

  • Through Mudras, the optimal flow of energy within the Prana Vayus can be re-established.
  • Specific Mudras for each Prana Vayu activate that particular Vayu individually by directing breath to the systems and areas of the body related to the Prana Vayu.
  • This mudra increases the Kapha dosha and decreases the Pitta dosha in the body.
  • The major part of our body is Prithvi and Jal. Joining the fingertips and balancing these elements results in increasing stamina, vitality, strength, and immunity.
  • This mudra starts the flow of vital energy in our body as if a dynamo has been turned on.
  • While practicing meditation along with this mudra makes a person mentally and physically strong.
  • This mudra helps overcome chronic fatigue, general debility, and low endurance.

  • Mental tension, anger, irritability, jealousy, pride, restlessness
  • Inflammatory disorders

  • Scanty burning urination
  • Burning red, dry eyes, cataract
  • Dry, red, hot, aging skin, skin rashes, urticarial, and leprosy.
  • Any ailment of the eyes is greatly benefited by this mudra, and eyesight is improved.
  • When the elements of earth, water, and fire come together, it helps in removing the obstacles present in the blood vessels resulting in improved blood circulation.
  • This mudra removes impurities present in blood and stimulates joy, energy, delight, zeal, hope, and perseverance.
  • Prana mudra removes any kind of deficiency in the body of vitamins A, B, C, D, and K.

  • Overweight persons or those having an aggravated Kapha dosha should perform in moderation.
